This is a chatting site that I’ve recently become aware of, thanks to a very close friend.

Xat.com is basically an entire network of chat groups for people of all ages, depending on which chat room you enter, but the chats I have visited mostly contain teenages around the ages of 13-17. When you create an account, you become a registered user. Registered users can purchase xats and days, which can be used to get powers, such as name glow.

Anyone can make a chat box, and the creator is known as main owner. Main owners can make other users owners, mods, members, guests, or banned. Owners can make others mods, mods can make others members, et cetera.

Talking online itself is pretty decent. Some chats allow you to curse, others don’t. I found it odd to be talking to random people you don’t know, but my friend says that most people have their own “usual chats”, meaning they go on the same chat room all the time, which allows them to get used to each other, and to become good friends.

So, my final thoughts on Xat; It’s something to do when there’s nothing else to do, and the site itself isn’t bad, just don’t get addicted.
